My Life As Cooler-Dog

While Sean is sleeping in the passenger seat and Cate is paying attention to the road, I grabbed Sean's laptop. For anyone reading this: HELP!! My butt is sore. My legs are cramped. And I can't even stick my head out the window. Seriously. These two fools think putting my blanket on top of the cooler and letting me sit on it is comfortable. I feel like I got stuck in the middle-seat on an airplane and they're making me sit on the tray. Hour after hour. From the early morning until the late night. Sometimes we even drive into the wee hours of the morning.

Now let's talk about the recreation. When Sean almost ran over the Bison in Yellowstone, did they let me out to chase them? Prairie dogs in the Badlands? The multitude of dogs walking around outside? No! And I think I may be the only dog who has traveled ALL the way across Lake Country and did not swim in one single lake. Lake after lake appeared and disappeared and did this dog get the pleasure of chasing her splashes? No. Did she get to chase a ball into the serene blue? No. Well, OK. We did stop on Lake Huron and at Lake Seneca. But two swims in seven days?

Instead, hour after hour I sit atop the cooler. A cooler dog.

Track our progress!!

Track our Cross-Country Progress!

Hello family and friends. As of the afternoon of Friday, August 29, Cate and I are embarking on a cross-country trip via a northern route. Our plan is drive to Truckee on Friday, and proceed north and east to Yellowstone, Badlands, Minneapolis, up into Canada through Sault Ste. Marie, around the Great Lakes, through Niagara, up to Lake Champlain, and then down to Virginia.

Below is a map showing our current GPS position of where we are on our cross-country trip. If the pin is green, it means I've got the program running and I have a signal. If it is red, either I forgot to turn it on OR I'm out of Sprint's cell-range. So if it's red, text me...in case I forgot to turn it on. If I am out of cell-range, our position will be updated automatically once I get a signal.

Click on the map to see where all we've been during that day!
